In person: Buying cards at a local hobby or trading card shop or a card show is the traditional method for obtaining cards. Here are some websites that list card shops and shows:

- Amazon – Amazon is a great place to buy cards with a great selection of sets and boxes.
- Auction of Champions
- Beckett – Cards can be listed in Beckett Marketplace and simultaneously posted to ebay.
- Burbank Sportscards – Well-known dealer that founded the Burbank Card Show with an extensive card selection.
- Buysportscards.com
- Cardbase – Claims to have the World’s Largest Collection of Trading Cards.
- COMC – has a very large selection of cards and is a great starting place (along with ebay) to look for cards.
- Craiglist
- Dave & Adams – Will purchase certain cards directly.
- Ebay–has the largest card inventory and audience. Most card searches typically start here.
- Etsy
- Kruk Cards – Well known sports card site that also maintains an eBay store.
- Facebook – There are card specific forums that can serve as a great starting point. Facebook marketplace is also a viable option. One of the main draws here is that transaction fees are often lower here than ebay.
- Goldin – Auction site from the Netflix series King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch
- Goodwill – This site often lists cards donated to this charity.
- Heritage Auctions
- Mercari
- MySlabs – A graded card focused marketplace.
- Police Auctions – surprisingly this site often includes sports cards.
- Pristine Auction and Pristine Marketplace
- PSA Card Forums
- PWCC
- Sportlots
- Starstock
- StockX – Online marketplace for collectibles that includes a trading cards section.
- Target
- Walmart – Site includes individual cards and boxes.
- Whatnot – This is a live video marketplace where people often auction cards.
